This policy explains what information Legacy General Contractors LLC ("we", "us") collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a local home-improvement contractor. We collect only what we need to respond to you about your project, and we never sell your information.
Information you give us
When you request an estimate, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address, phone number, project address (city and state), the services you're interested in, your budget and timeline, how you heard about us, and your project description.
Information collected automatically
- Spam and abuse protection. When you use the form, Cloudflare Turnstile evaluates signals from your browser and your IP address to tell people apart from automated bots.
- Submission records. For each form submission we keep a technical record (time, outcome, browser type, and a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address and email address). These records don't contain your name, contact details, or message. We use them to prevent spam and abuse, to limit repeated submissions, and to troubleshoot problems.
- Website analytics. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited. It does not use cookies, and it does not store your IP address.
- Content from other providers. Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, review photos from Google, and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Like any web request, these providers receive your IP address when your browser loads that content.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics. The spam protection on our form may rely on technical browser signals that are strictly necessary for that purpose. Links to our Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, and Google pages take you to those sites, which have their own cookie and privacy practices.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry, prepare an estimate, and schedule a visit.
- To email you a one-time copy of your request so you have a record of what you sent.
- To protect our website and form from spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To keep business records and meet legal obligations.
We don't add you to marketing email lists. We'll contact you only about your inquiry or project unless you ask us to.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We use a few service providers to run this website, and they process information only on our behalf:
- Netlify: website hosting and form processing.
- Cloudflare: spam protection (Turnstile) and storage of the submission records described above.
- Resend: delivers your request to us and sends your confirmation copy.
- Pushover: alerts us if the form stops working. These alerts contain only reference numbers, never your personal information.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
How long we keep it
Technical submission records are deleted automatically after 90 days. Inquiry emails are kept in our business email for as long as needed to respond to you, complete your project, and keep normal business records.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our systems is limited, and we use the safeguards described above to protect the form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing cristian@legacygc.co or calling (571) 839-4136. We'll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 45 days. Because we don't track you across websites, we have nothing to change in response to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals.
Children
This website is meant for adults planning home projects. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
